Posted June 08, 2019 08:04:04The logo that represents Monster Energy has been used for more than 40 years to tell its energy customers how they can save on their bills, and is widely considered one of the most iconic logos in the industry.
However, the logo is currently undergoing a major redesign that will see it change from a vertical logo to a horizontal one, and be able to show the logo in more places.
The company’s head of communications, Alex DeWitt, told ABC News the changes will be rolled out in 2020, with the company’s logo in a new way for all of its customer accounts.
“It’s going to be a vertical one and that will allow us to more easily differentiate ourselves from competitors, and also provide consumers with a lot more options when it comes to choosing from different energy products,” Mr DeWit said.
The vertical logo will also include a more prominent green logo, as well as a new icon in the top right hand corner that will display the energy company’s energy savings goals.
Mr DeWot said the company was working closely with the Australian Government on the redesign, and said they had also been working closely on the design of the energy saving logo.
“We’re looking to make it even more attractive and more useful for consumers, and the best way to do that is to bring it in more of a vertical way and make it more consistent with the other brands,” he said.
“The horizontal logo is a little more horizontal, so there’s less of a focus on the vertical one, but there’s still a little bit of that vertical focus that the horizontal one has.”
Monster Energy’s vertical logo is not the only change the company is making.
The company is also removing the “energy” from its name, with a more positive energy logo to be used instead.
And it’s removing the company name from the logo itself.
“We are a big believer in what the energy industry is all about and we are very proud of that,” Mr deWitt said.
